Montecarlo Gala for The Global Ocean 2019 is one of its priorities, and its awareness is growing and around the world the protest of the new generations to act in this direction is rising, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation shines for its great foresight that sees it as the undisputed leader of the protection of the oceans. The magnificent evening Montecarlo Gala for The Global Ocean 2019 in which the lightness of the event was celebrated in the depths of a magnificent icy sea bed, developed into a marathon of solidarity that this year reached the record of 26 million euros collected in a single night.

The magnificent goal achieved by Prince Albert II of Monaco with his foundation is memorable, and behind this feat there is always the unwearying work that Milutin Gatsby, the fundraiser of the foundation, has managed to achieve, a result that can hardly be equalled on a planetary level in a single night. If the imposing celebratory machine succeeds in obtaining these results, then these events, that can bring the consciousness of mankind to an even higher level and respectful of the place where we share our existence with all living beings, are really welcome.

An evening worthy of being told, because even if its ritual is always repeated in a similar way, with the red carpet, the cocktail among the works of art and the jewels for the auction, the gala dinner, the stars, the millionaire auctions, and the rivers of champagne (I prefer "Rosé" Perrier Jouet), the red carpet is always a great emotion, a great dive into the sea of photographers waiting for you on the "blue carpet" as if only you were the queen of that moment. 

And a sea of images flows in my mind, as I find myself thinking about those hours spent freediving between a sea of sequins, tuxedos, smiles, jewelry, and beautiful women who compete to be more beautiful in front to any smartphone or camera intercepting their looks. It 's an amazing feeling to see beauty at the service of humanity that from all over the world is found here, in front of a Prince of other times, to celebrate something memorable that will remain in my heart.

And I'm not just talking about the stars and celebrities that have followed one another in the gala - from Nicole Kidman and Uma Thurman to Gwen Stefani, Andrea Bocelli and Kool & The Gang - but I'm referring also to the magical atmosphere built around an hypothetical world of ice in which guests found themselves, through an underwater path dug into tunnels of ice, leading to the beautiful transparent room of the gala. All around, raising their eyes to the sky, huge blocks of melting ice, even the tables of the dinner had blocks of ice in the middle, and in the center of the room, stood out in its imposing decadent image of its melting, the power of a melting ice candlestick to symbolize the seriousness of the moment we are living in the Planet. A beautiful scenographic choice, worthy of a set of a Hollywood movie, built to make live from within and to deeply understand what the world is experiencing with the melting of the ice, and at the same time a nice way to make people reflect on what we could do to avoid it.

When the first glass of Champagne began to take effect and the evening took off, the first auctions started, including the one for the Arctic expedition with Prince Albert, which perhaps more than any other I would have liked to win, and a sequence of exceptional pieces such as the electric motorcycle, the royal dinner at the palace of Versailles, iconic cars, jewels, works of art, and weeks on luxurious super yachts and in dreamy residences. An incredible burst of red lights flashing inside the large hall, indicating the rises on each offer, at the end of the evening decreed the record of 26 million euros that was reached this year, thus collecting another record for the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and for its fundraiser Milutin Gatsby.

The Prince's embrace with him on stage is emblematic of the affection they both place in each other's work and the sign of deep gratitude and mutual friendship, reminding me of the final scene in the movie with Tom Cruise "Jerry Maguire" in which there is the final embrace between Cuba Gooding Jr. and Cruise, that in a single moment tells everything that words cannot say and that means poetry and values in which to believe. I was surprised by the performance of Gwen Stefani who on stage turned out to be a woman full of power and exceptional energy, I was so close to her that I could see in her eyes the strength of a woman who offered herself with her band and her body of dance with a power that I have seen a very few times on stage.

The moment when the Prince presented an award to the great actor, director and philanthropist Robert Redford, who on stage spent the value of his voice on the cause of the oceans, was a great emotion, and seeing that icon of the cinema there, in front of me, talking about the future of humanity and the protection of nature, while the images of his immense career were flowing on the screens, was for me very touching. In the end, I can say that I am lucky because I was able to meet both the great Gatsby who made the history of cinema and of real life. Robert Redford was the first actor to make the character of Scott Fitzgerald's book famous, just as Di Caprio did for the new generations, and to be able to see him together with the other Gatsby, MIlutin, who in real life, is helping with his commitment so many philanthropic works, made me think that behind the character of Fitzgerald there is a magical aura that strikes those in one way or another, and brings with it a value that makes both unique in their kind.

Milutin Gatsby is not only the fundraiser of Prince Albert of Monaco's Foundation, but also of other Foundations, such as those of  Amfar, Madonna and DiCaprio; and perhaps the moment when Gatsby's cufflinks were auctioned, just the ones of Di Caprio's movie, is emblematic. While the images of the presentation of the bids were running, I could not help but think that thanks to Milutin Gatsby, the Great Gatsby by DiCaprio and Redford were able to join together at the service of the Albert of Monaco Foundation. I can say that I have seen all three of them united for this mission, and sincerely I have something great to carry in my basket of good memories. I had the honor to attend the most beautiful show in the world for the preservation of the oceans, and I experienced the most emblematic moment of this year, and this is a gift that, as a well known advertisement says, "is priceless".

As well as Robin Thicke's performance at the end of the evening, in the after party at the Monte Carlo Casino, in which Robin led all the guests to the end, making them dance to the rhythm of the legendary songs that made him famous. When the heels of my YSLs asked me to stop, I decided to listen, and so, together with them, while I was crossing the square of the Casino lit up by the lights of the evening, I walked in my gown in the streets of the garden near to the Buddha Bar to return to my suite at the Fairmont. I could not help but admire the spectacular scenery that stood before me, in the darkness of the night. Like big whales resting on the water, the lights of super yachts, made me think about the magic of this world that we are compromising, and being able to think that even a party can do something for this mission, makes me go to bed happy to have been there...

Then, Monte Carlo is just magical and its nocturnal, inexplicable charm has always given me moments of happiness. A dreamy night, unforgettable, too short to be lived.!!!

Nel momento in cui il mondo ha preso coscienza che salvaguardare il pianeta, è una delle priorità e cresce la sua consapevolezza e, in giro per il mondo sale la protesta delle nuove generazioni per agire in questo senso, la fondazione Pince Albert II° Of Monaco brilla per la sua grande lungimiranza che lo vede leader indiscusso della protezione degli oceani.


La magnifica serata di gala Montecarlo Gala for The Global Ocean 2019 in cui, la leggerezza dell'evento è stata celebrata nella profondità di un magnifico fondo marino ghiacciato, si è sviluppata in una maratona di solidarietà che quest'anno ha raggiunto il record di 26 milioni di euro raccolti in una sola notte.


Il magnifico obiettivo raggiunto dal Pince Albert II° Of Monaco con la sua fondazione è memorabile, e dietro questa impresa c’è sempre l'instancabile lavoro che Milutin Gatsby, il fundraiser della fondazione, è riuscito a raggiungere un risultato che difficilmente potrà essere eguagliato a livello planetario in una sola notte.


Se la imponente macchina celebrativa riesce ad ottenere questi risultati, allora ben vengano questi eventi che possono portare la coscienza dell'umanità' ad un livello ancora più alto e rispettoso del luogo in cui con tutti gli esseri viventi condividiamo l'esistenza.


Una serata degna di essere raccontata, perché' anche se il suo rituale si ripete sempre simile, con il red carpet, il cocktail fra le opere d'arte e i preziosi per l'asta, la cena di gala, le star, le aste milionarie, e i fiumi di Champagne ( io preferisco "la piscine di rose'" Perrier Jouet ) , il red carpet è sempre una grande emozione, un grande tuffo nel mare dei fotografi e che ti attendono sul suo "blue carpet" come se solo tu fossi la regina di quel momento.


Un mare di immagini scorre nella mia mente, mentre mi ritrovo a ripensare a quelle ore passate in apnea tra un mare di lustrini e paillets, smoking, sorrisi, gioielli, e meravigliose donne che fanno a gara ad essere più belle davanti a qualsiasi smartphone o telecamera che intercetti i loro sguardi. E’ una sensazione strabiliante vedere il bello al servizio dell’umanità che da tutto il mondo si ritrova qui, davanti ad un Principe di altri tempi, a celebrare qualcosa di memorabile che resterà nel mio cuore.


E non parlo solo delle stars e delle celebrities che si sono succedute nel gala da Nicole Kidman and Uma Thurman a Gwen Stefani, Andrea Bocelli, Kool & The Gang, ma quanto e soprattutto per la magica atmosfera costruita intorno ad un ipotetico mondo sottomarino ai poli, in cui gli ospiti si sono ritrovati, attraversando un percorso sottomarino scavato in dei tunnel, che conduceva alla meravigliosa sala trasparente del gala.


Tutt’intorno, alzando gli occhi al cielo, immensi blocchi di ghiaccio in scioglimento, i tavoli della cena avevano blocchi di ghiaccio al centro tavola e, al centro della sala, svettava nella sua imponente immagine decadente del suo scioglimento, la possanza di un candelabro di ghiaccio a simboleggiare la serietà del momento che stiamo vivendo nel pianeta.


Una bella scelta scenografica degna di un set di un film hollywoodiano costruita per far vivere dal di dentro e per far comprendere profondamente quello che il mondo sta vivendo con lo scioglimento dei ghiacci, e allo stesso tempo un bel modo di far riflettere su quello che potremmo fare per evitarlo.


Quando ormai il primo bicchiere di Champagne ha iniziato a fare effetto, e la serata e’ decollata, sono partite le prime aste fra cui la spedizione artica con il principe Albert II° Of Monaco, che forse più di tutte avrei voluto vincere, e una sequenza di pezzi eccezionali come la Electric DaVinci motorcycles, il Royal dinner alla reggia di Versailles, auto iconiche, gioielli, opere d’arte, e settimane in un luxury super yatch e in residenze da sogno. Una raffica incredibile di luci rosse che lampeggiavano all’interno della grande sala, ad indicare i rialzi su ogni offerta, hanno decretato a fine serata il record dei 26 milioni di euro a cui si è arrivati quest’anno, raccogliendo così un altro record per la fondazione Prince Albert II di Monaco e per il suo Fundraisier Milutin Gatsby.


L'abbraccio del Principe con Lui sul palco è emblematica dell'affetto che entrambi ripongono nel lavoro dell'altro e il segno di una profonda gratitudine e amicizia reciproca, che mi ricordano quella scena finale del film con Tom Cruise "Jerry Maguire" in cui c’è l'abbraccio finale fra Cuba Gooding Jr., che in un solo attimo racconta tutto quello che le parole non possono dire e che significa poesia e valori in cui credere.


Sono stata sorpresa dalla performance di Gwen Stefan che sul palco si è rivelata una donna carica di potenza e di energia ecezzionale, ero cosi’ vicino a lei da poter vedere nei suoi occhi la forza di una donna che si è offerta al pubblico, con la sua band e il suo corpo di ballo, con una potenza che ho visto poche volte sugli stage che ho avuto di ammirare.


Toccante invece è stato il momento in cui il Principe ha consegnato un Award al grande attore regista e filantropo Robert Redford, che sul palco ha speso il valore della sua voce per la causa degli oceani, e vedere quell’icona del cinema li’, davanti a me, parlare di futuro dell’umamita’ e di protezione della natura, mentre sugli schermi scorrevano le immagini della sua immensa carriera, mi ha fatto emozionare tantissimo.


Posso dire di essere fortunata perché ho potuto incontrare tutti i grandi Gatsby che hanno fatto la “Storia del Cinema e della Vita vera”. Robert Redford è stato il primo attore ad aver reso celebre il personaggio del libro di Scott Fitzgerald, come cosi lo aveva reso celebre Leonardo Di Caprio per le nuove generazioni e, averlo potuti vedere insieme all’altro Gatsby, il MIlutin che nella vita vera, sta aiutando con il suo impegno tante opere Filantropiche, mi ha fatto pensare che dietro il personaggio di Fitzgerald ci sia un’ Aura magica che colpisce chi, in un modo o nell’altro, ne porta con se’ il valore che lo renda unico nel suo genere.


Milutin Gatsby infatti non e solo il fundraiser della Prince Albert II° of Monaco Foundation ma anche di altre fondazioni, come quella dell'Amfar e di Madonna e di Di Caprio,  ed è forse emblematico il momento in cui sono stati messi all’asta i gemelli di Gatsby, quelli del film di Di Caprio. Mentre scorrevano le immagini della sua presentazione all'asta, non ho potuto fare a meno di pensare che grazie a Milutin Gatsby, si siano potuti unire insieme i grandi Redford e Di Caprio al servizio della Prince Albert II° of Monaco Foundation.


Io posso dire di averli visti tutti e 3 uniti per questa missione, e sinceramente ho qualcosa di grande da portare dentro la scatola dei bei ricordi: ho avuto l’onore di assistere allo spettacolo più bello del mondo per la salvaguardia degli oceani, e ho vissuto il momento più emblematico di quest’anno, che non ha prezzo.


Come la performance di Robin Thicke a fine serata, nell'after party del Casino’ di Monte Carlo , in cui Robin ha condotto tutti gli ospiti fino allo stremo, facendoli ballare al ritmo delle sue mitiche canzoni che lo hanno reso celebre.


Quando i tacchi delle mie YSL mi hanno chiesto di smetterla, io ho deciso di ascoltarli, e cosi insieme a loro, mentre attraversavo la piazza del casino illuminata a giorno dalle luci della serata, mi sono incamminata in abito da sera nelle strade del giardino adiacente al Buddha bar per ritornare nella mia suite del Fairmont.


Non ho potuto fare a meno di ammirare lo spettacolare scenario che mi si presentava dinanzi, nel buio della notte. Come grandi balene a riposo sull'acqua, le luci dei Super Yatch, mi hanno fatto pensare alla magia di questo mondo che stiamo compromettendo e poter, pensare che anche una festa possa fare qualcosa per questa missione, mi fa andare a dormire felice di esserci stata.


Poi Monte Carlo è magica ed è inspiegabile il uso fascino notturno, che mi ha sempre regalato momenti di felicita'.




Una notte da sogno, indimenticabile, troppo breve da essere vissuta.
